Products arrive from retailer catalog feeds, so most fields are filled by the feed. Editing one here overrides the feed for that field until the value is cleared, which is how a bad SKU or a missing image gets fixed without waiting for the retailer. There is no Delete: a product leaves the catalog by leaving the feed. Topics are not here either; they belong to the citation.
